Alan Turing Institute – Experts in Residence

Bridging the gap between research and real-world product thinking.
We're proud to share that Teckollab has been selected as part of the Alan Turing Institute's Experts in Residence programme — an initiative that embeds practitioners from industry directly into the Institute's research environment.
For us, this isn't just a badge. It's a genuine opportunity to shape how AI and data science research gets translated into products that actually work in the market.
What the Programme Involves
As Experts in Residence, we're contributing across three areas:
- Ecosystem interoperability — how open data standards can unlock new product possibilities
- Responsible AI integration — practical frameworks for founders building on top of AI models
- Community-led innovation — how startups and researchers can collaborate without losing speed

Why This Matters for Founders
Most AI research lives in papers. Most product decisions live in Slack threads. The Experts in Residence programme is one of the few places where those two worlds genuinely collide — and we think the output will be useful for founders building in the AI space.
What We're Working On Together
Our current focus is on ecosystem integration and open data — specifically how community-driven standards can reduce the friction of building interoperable products. We'll be sharing findings as the work progresses.

Get Involved
If you're a founder or researcher working on related problems — interoperability, open data, AI in regulated industries — we'd love to hear from you. This kind of work is better done in community.
